End of Year Final Assessments

You must be in class on the day of these exams.

If you are absent, excused, you will need to make it up on the make up day (Thursday June 15th, 8:00am, room 241).

If you are absent, unexcused, you receive a zero for the part of the exam that you missed.

Interpersonal Speaking (6% of your year end grade) - Monday June 5th - in class

Students will receive a prompt and record a conversation with a classmate answering the prompt.

You will not know the exact prompt until the day of the assessment.

On Friday May 26th we will brainstorm possible prompts and practice answering them. We will also practice recording and uploading to Canvas.

We will practice with these every day until the assessment.

What should you be doing at home to prepare?

Study all the vocabulary from this year.

Practice speaking with classmates and others as much as possible.
Practice asking questions.
Make the most out of class time by speaking in Spanish as much as possible.
Go to the lab for help and to practice a conversation if you want.

Presentational Writing (6% of your year end grade) - Thursday June 13th - 11:25-1:30

Students will receive a prompt which will include the prompt and a graphic.

Students will individually answer the prompt in Spanish, referring to the graphic.

You will not know the exact prompt until the day of the assessment.

On Friday May 26th we will brainstorm possible prompts.

If you would like additional support with your writing, you should choose one of these possible prompts, answer it in writing, and bring it to your teacher or to the lab for feedback.

What should you be doing at home to prepare?

- - - Look over your past writing assessments --- Where do you want to improve? How can you make this happen? Do you need to come to the lab or get support in this? If so, make an appointment with your teacher or go to the lab.
    - Choose any of the prompts that we brainstormed, answer it in writing and bring it to your teacher or the lab for feedback.
    - Keep studying the vocabulary.
    - Be sure that you can use verbs correctly (with the correct endings) and know the irregular verbs. These are all in the front of your purple workbook.
