Legacy - Advice/Messages to Gen 11

Next year, a new group will embark on the journey of Evolutions! 

We are asking you to send a message (via Padlet) for the incoming Gen 11 Evolutions students.  In these messages we ask you to pass on the knowledge you've gained about not just being in Evo but taking full advantage of it. 

Partner Up! We want you to use this opportunity to work with someone you haven't yet this year and/or haven't had lots of connections with. This is a low stakes way to continue to foster our community.

Instructions for Crafting Your Message

• Give yourselves some time to brainstorm your answers to the prompts -- what is it that you really want to say? what is it that you wish you heard at the start?
• Decide your approach
  • Option #1: Interview each other - Start recording, Person A asks question, Person B responds, Person A asks question, Person B responds. Swap roles and repeat. End recording.
  • Option #2: Dialogue with each other - Start recording, Both people talk through a prompt (avoid reading it), transition and both people talk through another prompt, End recording.
• Decide who will record -- you will be recording a video (should be 3-5 minutes)
• Create a new entry by clicking on the circle with the plus symbol (remember to use Chrome) - avoid recording outside of padlet and uploading. This makes it easier for the Gen 11 students to access.

  • Share some of your personal triumphs and struggles from this year (be specific)
  • Offer some words of advice and suggest ways for students to succeed in the program
