Foundations 9/10 RLS (Remote Learning School) is geared toward learning and understanding a variety of mathematical skills geared toward analytical and logical thinking.   In addition, this course will help to prepare you for the Math MCAS next year.

TOPICS: We are going to cover a range of topics including:  operations of integers, decimals and fractions, order of operations, equations and inequalities, percents, decimal and fraction equivalents, the coordinate plane, graphing, perimeter, area and surface area of 2-dimensional shapes, volume of 3-dimensional shapes, intro to geometry using lines, angles  and  triangles, exponents and square roots.

CANVAS: We will be using Canvas to outline our course.  There you will find the daily lessons, assignments for the week and the calendar of due dates.

RESOURCES: We will use many different resources to help us understand this content. Worksheets for practice, Delta Math and IXL. Delta Math and IXL are online learning tools that will give you instant feedback on your work. They will explain how to complete problems and help you if you make an error. These online platforms are going to help you determine if you are understanding the skills.

scientific calculator (occasionally)
