Course Syllabus

Welcome to Skills Math

This course is designed to give students an opportunity to develop foundational and real world prerequisite skills in order to build a working knowledge of mathematics. A highly supportive, differentiated teaching model will be used to ensure that each student has the opportunity to build their understanding. The curriculum will be primarily aligned to the Massachusetts Mathematics Framework. Topics to be covered will include: 

• Numbers (Addition/Subtraction/Multiplication/Division)
• Money
• Time 
• Word Problems 
• Fractions
• Measurement 

Expectations and Guidelines 

Materials: 

• Three Ring Binder and loose leaf paper 

•  Writing utensils

• Calculator
