This course is designed to provide students with the foundations and functions of Retail Marketing.  The class enables students to understand and apply marketing, management, and entrepreneurial principles, make rational economic decisions, exhibit critical thinking, and foster a realistic understanding of work. Students will have the opportunity to run The Cove, WHS’ online school store.

Projects:

There will be several individual and group projects throughout the semester.

Working in The Cove

Students will also participate in designing items for the school store in regards to merchandise, advertising and promotions.  They will fill and deliver orders for customers and have opportunities for creating visual displays within the store.  

Assessments

The Final will consist of a culminated E-Portfolio and Binder.

Attendance/Make-up Work

This class does not have a designated textbook.  Daily Attendance is essential to acquire skills and knowledge for successfully completing projects, portfolio, and the Exams.  All work is posted to Canvas and grades are weekly updated in Powerschool.
