Fashion and Merchandising Syllabus
Mr. Tom Denman
This course will explore the world of fashion and its relationship with merchandising and marketing. Students will learn the basics and history of clothing, the social and cultural dimensions of fashion, and contemporary values and culture. The course will provide students with the opportunity to understand product development and design, merchandising, and marketing strategies.

Projects:
There will be several individual and group projects throughout the semester.
Personal Portfolio
Each student will be required to create a fashion Merchandising Portfolio. The Portfolio will keep all notes, drawings, sketches, and classwork/projects.
Assessments/Quizzes and Exams
There will be weekly quizzes on relevant topics
Attendance/Make-up Work
This class does not have a designated textbook. Daily Attendance is essential to acquire skills and knowledge for successfully completing projects, portfolio, and the Exams. It is important to show up, be on time, and stay on top of classwork/projects.
