• Graphs of sine, cosine, and tangent functions, 
• Trigonometric identities 
• Analytical trigonometry 

Student Support (Extra Help): 

• Utilizing the Math Resource Center 
• Math Resource Center is a student support that runs during a majority of class periods. Math teachers are waiting for student questions. Students can visit the MRC during A block (Block 1) or during any other free period in their schedule (DRs or permanent dismissal)

• Mrs. Miller’s extra help! 
• Tuesday and Thursdays after school 2:30-3:00 in room 441 
• Block A (7:45-8:25) on days 2 and 7 in room 452 (MRC Room) 

Cell Phones 

Cell Phones will be placed in the cell phone cubby during class time in accordance with the WPS cell phone policy. Smartwatches and headphones should also not be used during class time.

Evaluation of Student Work (Grading Policy) [1]

Term Grades 

• Assessments -  55% 

• Term Cumulative Assessment – 30%

• Practice 15% 

• Homework
• Exit Tickets / Check in’s / Graded Classworks 
• Can re-do or re-submit through the Unit test for 100% credit, can submit by the end of term for 75% credit. 

Year Grades 

• Each Term Grade will be 22% of the year grade and the Final Exam will be 12% of the year grade.

Classroom Engagement Expectations: Each student is an important member of the class.  All students are expected to contribute to a positive, supportive and engaging classroom community.

• Communication: 

• demonstrate appropriate communication and respect with peers and teachers by actively listening to the teachers when new material is being delivered and actively listening to peers/teachers when they are asking or answering questions.
• Ask Questions when something is unclear:
• This can be during class, asking during class break or right after class, coming to an office hour or utilizing the math lab. 

• Engage in the classroom culture by: 

• Completing the practice opportunities assigned to you: 
• Homework is assigned to give students independent practice opportunities. Homework serves as an important tool in student preparation for success during class presentations, discussions and assessments.  
• Classwork is assigned as an opportunity for students to complete practice problems that reinforce student understanding of material. 
• Participating in classroom dialogue
• ask or answer questions, explain your thinking 
• share ideas, answers, alternative approaches or strategies to a problem
•  actively listen when your classmates are sharing their ideas 

• Incorporate Feedback received from teacher and peers in student work. 

• Formative assessments will help you assess your own learning and that of your peers. Take these opportunities to learn from your mistakes. 

Topics will be reassessed on following assessments or term cumulative assessment. Both future assessments and term cumulative assessments are opportunities to raise your grade.  Make the most of these opportunities by learning from previous feedback!
