French 4 is taught 100% in French and students are expected to speak French to each other as well as to the teacher.

The themes will be :
Family: how my life would be different growing up in France
School: how my school experience is different from those in a francophone countries
Food and health: what factors influence the food we eat, how the french healthcare system works, what influence life expectancy

Extended time on an in-class assessment is a collaborative decision made by the teacher, student, and family to meet individual student needs. The WHS guideline is up to 25% extra time. This accommodation relies on proactive student communication prior to the date of the assessment. The student and teacher must establish how the accommodation will be provided.
The office hours are on Thursday after school 2:30 -3:05pm
How is my end of year grade computed?
Term 1 = 12% of your year end grade
Term 2 = 19% of your year end grade
Term 3 = 26% of your year end grade
Term 4 = 31% of your year end grade
Final Exam= 12% of your year end grade (6% for speaking and 6% for writing)
The rationale for this increase in percentages is that what you learn in Term 1 will need to be remembered and used in Term 2, and so on, so by Term 4 you'll be required to use all the skills and information you've learned over the year.
District accommodations (DCAP) are available to all students, and in the 26-27 school year, WHS is committed to moving this forward with fidelity.
While some accommodations can be offered at the moment, others require advanced notice.
