(3) Scatterplots, Regression, Correlation & Causation

(4) Sampling, Experiment Design, & Statistical Inference

(5) Probability Models

(6) Random Variables and Binomial Distributions

(7) Sampling Distributions

(8) Confidence Intervals & Tests of Significance

(9) Inference for Distributions and Proportions

(10) Inference for Two-Way Tables & Chi-Square

(11) Inference for Regression

Evaluation: Terms 1-3 grade will be based upon the following:

(1) Chapter Tests 60%

(2) Quizzes 10%

(3) Cumulative Term Test 20%

(4) Flex Grade (higher of the chapter test average vs. the cumulative term test) 5%

(3) Homework 5%

(4) Term 4 is 50% (the average of your three terms) plus 50% (AP Review and Chapter 12).

Final Grade: Each term accounts for 25% of your grade. The final exam is the AP Test.

Students choosing not to take the AP Test will be required to take a final exam.

Special Notes:

(1) A calculator will be permitted to work on all homework and exams.

(2) Homework is due at the beginning of class on the due date. Late homework must be

submitted before the chapter test from which it was assigned to earn partial credit.

(3) Feel free to work with your classmates on the homework assignments, but write up the

solutions on your own. A paper with answers and no solutions will not be accepted.

(4) Attendance at all classes is important and expected. Make-ups will be given only in the case

of documented illness, emergency in the family, or an absence excused by the instructor prior

to the date.

(5) District accommodations (DCAP) are available to all students, and WHS is

committed to moving this forward with fidelity."

Example: Extended time on an in-class assessment is a collaborative decision (up to 25% extra time). This relies on proactive student communication prior to the assessment date.

(6) Cell Phone and Electronic Device Policy

To maintain a focused and respectful learning environment, cell phones, smart watches, and

other electronic devices will not be used during class time. As students enter the classroom,

they will park their phones and smart watches in their assigned spaces in the back of the

classroom. Students will also put their devices on Do Not Disturb mode to avoid sounds or

vibrations from disrupting the class. These devices will not be accessed by students, including

during bathroom breaks, without specific permission. Additional electronics, including

headphones, will also not be used during class time.
