What We Do In Academic Strategies
- Use the current curriculum in academic classes as the basis for teaching skills to meet IEP goals.
Academic Support
- Preview concepts
- Clarify directions
- Review for assessments
- Foster academic independence
Executive Functioning
- Recording assignments
- Organizing notebooks/binders
- Plan for long term assignments
Self-Advocacy
- Understanding personal learning style
- Processing stressful situations
- Building academic confidence
- Participating in class
- Asking for help
- Identifying support structures
- Parents, teachers, specialists, counselors, TAs
We Are NOT A Study Hall
- We do not monitor daily homework assignments.
- We will know upcoming assessments and assignments.
